Billy Jones was a strong, outgoing young man. Sometimes Billy would run up, hug a random person he did not know, and compliment their hair just to brighten their day. Billy was the star point guard for the senior basketball team of his high school. With quick feet, swift moves, and the most precise chest pass in the league Billy Jones lead his team to become zone champions. Although Billy was a very confident young man with a great social and physical life, you could tell he had some family issues and a rough time figuring out his self identity. Billy would walk the streets in the evening and come home later that night just so could get out of the way of the gruesome, loud, angry fights that his parents would have with him daily. He would always wear different outfits to school and always had interest in the art classes his school offered. He was far too committed to basketball and his friends to look into what he liked best.
Direct: strong, outgoing young man. Quick feet, swift moves, and the most precise chest pass
Indirect: Actions, he would run up, hug a random person and compliment their hair. Billy would walk the streets at night to get away from fighting. Change his clothes and wonder about art.

Football is the best thing ever and is also very, very fun.

My favourite sport and my favourtie thing in the world is football. I am interested in playing football on a NCAA team, like my favourite movie character in the picture above "Forrest Gump", but even if I don't make a team on that level of competition I will still be content with playing at a high school level. I am very happy with playing football right now with my friends in highschool; it is the funnest thing in the world for me.
Although I say I am content with just playing high school, everyday, I still imagine playing running back at a big, fancy University in the states. My dream and inspiration for everyday of my life is to make it to a NCAA Div 2 school or higher. I want to be the first person in either of my families to recieve a bachelor's degree.
If my dreams of playing football at a University do not work out in my future, the game will always live on in me for I have a true love for this sport. The memories and fun I have while playing football will outweigh anything else in life, besides my family. Football is forever.

Media Analysis Assignment
All new art is influenced by the past and the past's art is somewhat "off limits" by copyright laws. There definitely is bias in this film because of the various examples of allusion and anecdote. These persuasive devices definitely only back up one side of the argument; the morally correct and easy to relate side of the argument that is.
In the film we see many devices to make the audience have a one sided opinion. The most influencial form of bias in this film was the use of many famous artists who's work seemed to have a strong relation to artists work before them. Later in the film, Brett suggests that civilization and lots of art is all based on previous generations culture. This is an obvious and true fact because it is right in front of our eyes. The device of allusion strongly supports only one side of the argument in this film. The filmmaker also uses anecdote to support his argument by telling the story of a mother of two boys, the average family, and how she was fined over $100,000 for illegally downloading 24 songs.
The filmmaker is correct in regards to ridiculous copyright laws. Most musicians (what these copyright laws related to) would agree that music is more important than money and big corporations are not seeing that. Art is what holds our cultures together and is the loudest form of self expression. Does it make sense to put laws and restrictions on ones voice? There is only so much that can be created in this world; sooner or later we're going to have to start using a bit of the past to create much more future.
